Do you remember the feeling you had when you had to step out of your comfort zone, and you had to travel to a foreign land or a different city in your own country? Was it forced on you or was it something you wanted? Were you happy, elated and thrilled or were you nervous and apprehensive or did you have a mix of both?

There are a lot of stereotypes about women- women are bad drivers, women are not good in Mathematics, women talk too much, and the list goes on…. Now, let’s be honest; a lot of these stereotypes have been handled head-on; however, a lot of them still prevail and are deeply ingrained in most of our societies and countries.

Take a few minutes and think deeply about these stereotypes- why do they exist in our society? Who gains from them? Do they help us in the long run? Is this the kind of society/ world we want to live in? Do we stand up and say that it is not acceptable? Do we have solutions to this global issue?

As you travel with friends and family, or even alone, you interact with people from all around the world. You start challenging your own belief systems; you learn from others; you grow and your horizons expand.

Take the First Step.....
